Johnny L. Vaughn
Senior Pastor
Pastor Vaughn was called, questioned and ordained, and plans to continue spreading God's word as long as the Lord sees fit for him to do so, He married Robbie J. March (deceased) on June 22, 1968, and they were blessed with one child Carmen, who is married to Rodney Bell. From that union, they were blessed with two grandchildren Mercedes and Stefan Bell.
Pastor Johnny Vaughn worked for NYS Electric and Gas and AES for a total of 31 years of service, until his retirement. He attended Colgate Rochester Crozier Divinity School. He also served as a deacon at New Hope Baptist Church and Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, in total serving 28 years working for his Savior. He was licensed to preach the gospel on October 1, 1995, where he received his Certificate of Ordination on August 24, 1997. He has served as Pastor of Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church since 1999
He encouraged church members to become involved in the Northeastern District Congress of Christian Education. He has encouraged youth to become involved and to receive growth by learning God's word. He believes that prayer should be kept in households, schools and in the workplace, by learning the Bible and he stresses the need to study the Bible. He also reminds us that on this Christian journey, mistakes will be made but if you have Christ in your life, God will carry us through. As Pastor, he seizes every opportunity to exalt our Savior Jesus Christ, as he shares the good news that God has chosen him to preach. He has worked for the betterment of Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church and will continue praying for the blessings that God knows are needed​.
Sheree Dion Massey
Minister
Minister Sheree Dion Massey is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who is deeply passionate about serving both her church and the Elmira, New York community. Raised in a faith-filled family, she experienced God’s grace at an early age, which laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to ministry and service.
She is honored to serve as a minister at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Johnny Vaughn. Ordained in 2010, Minister Massey faithfully uses her spiritual gifts to support the work of the ministry and to uplift those around her. She believes that God’s love is best demonstrated through service to others and strives daily to be a vessel of compassion, encouragement, and faith.
Minister Massey is a proud graduate of Elmira College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She dedicated over 30 years of service to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, faithfully working to support and protect families throughout her career.
She has been happily married to her husband, John Massey Sr., for over 40 years. Together, they have two adult children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, all of whom are a continual source of joy and blessing in her life.
